Hoods, Hats, and Animal ears-- oh my!

Hey guys! I'm just getting into sewing and pattern making and I'm wondering if any of you have either simple steps to make these, or a great link to a tutorial. I want to make hoods (with faux fur.. or without, whichever the occasion calls for) with animal ears. Basically the Shambhala hoods that are popping up everywhere now. Here's a few examples of what I'm talking about:

The coyote ears are the BEST! They look so realistic and I adore the paws at the end of the scarf.

I love the hoods with the scarfs attached, my boyfriend wants one. What a good idea for a Christmas gift!
