If only I had a pair of goggles.... ;-)
Dude! These are great tutorials!
I have an iphoto album made up of costume ideas... here are some of my steampunk findings.

I LOVE the first one. Wow, she's looks so hot!
Wow! Epic.
Does anyone agree that styles have a LOT to do with a specific colour palette?

i.e. Steam Punk - Browns, Creams, Brass
Goth - Black
Punk - Black, Red, White
Rave - Bright and Rainbow colours.

I mention this because looking at some of these outfits if you changed the colours of the items they would loose their "steampunk" appearance and become something else. All black would look gothic, bright colours would look futuristic and cyber.

It's cool to think about how colours can so vastly change the look and feel of things.
ha! you are absolutely right.
I've never really looked at it that way, but it is so true.
The same holds true for fabrics on a lesser scale. You can take the same pattern, cut and design of something, change the fabric and you change everything. The same thing made in flowy cotton will look dramatically different that a stiffer canvas fabric.
I think steampunk is kind of gray, too. Interesting thought.
